Over the past 10 days, a host of Hollywood stars have been seen wearing unreleased designs from new creative directors.
Under Jonathan Anderson, Dior had Greta Lee and Alba Rohrwacher try on dresses inspired by the legendary bar jacket and a padded-bust navy blue gown.
Meanwhile, Tilda Swinton revealed Chanel's elegant yet playful style under the hand of Matthieu Blazy with white wide-leg trousers and a cropped CC button-down top.

Unlike the strict Cannes or the glamorous Oscars, the Venice red carpet is more "open," giving stylists and stars a chance to experiment. Amanda Seyfried even wore a Versace outfit previously worn by Julia Roberts, considered a move that boosted both sustainability and media attention.
According to fashion expert Henrik Lischke (Grazia), "previewing" the collection in Venice is similar to how Barbie movies do their advertising campaigns: "The more hype, the more attention."

This strategy also helped new names stand out. Dario Vitale, who was virtually unknown when he took over Versace in April, is now in the spotlight thanks to the unexpected appearances of Julia Roberts and Seyfried.

Not everyone was thrilled. Some felt Versace was too safe, while Anderson's designs at Dior "didn't fit the Hollywood glamour." However, critic Amy Odell stressed: "This is just the appetizer. One or two appearances don't reveal the whole spirit of the collection."
