Police in Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City, are investigating the cause of a fierce fire at a leather shoe factory on the evening of January 30th (the second day of Tet).

At over 7 PM that same day, a fire broke out at a leather shoe factory in an alley off Tan Xuan 2 Street, Tan Xuan Commune, Hoc Mon District. Many people shouted to each other and tried to put out the fire with fire extinguishers, but without success.
Because the leather shoe factory contained many flammable materials, the fire quickly spread and intensified.
Firefighters from Hoc Mon district were dispatched to the scene. Subsequently, the authorities divided into several teams to approach the fire and used water hoses to bring it under control after more than 30 minutes.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the damage.
