High-speed boat catches fire in Van Don.

At approximately 5:30 PM on June 3rd, a fire broke out on the 132-seat passenger ship Tung Duong QN-8686, operating on the Van Don - Quan Lan route, while it was anchored for refueling in the waters of Van Don district, 400 meters from Ao Tien International Port.

Although the fire occurred far from shore, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force (of the Provincial Police) was present at the scene, actively dealing with the fire, and simultaneously mobilizing nearby vessels to assist in firefighting.

There were five crew members on board. After initial attempts to extinguish the fire were unsuccessful, the crew members jumped into the sea and swam to a nearby vessel. The fire caused no casualties.
