Attending the congress, there were representatives of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, members of the Association, and reporters and editors of the World & Vietnam Newspaper.
At the congress, political reports and reviews of the work of the Branch Secretariat stated that, during the last term under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic and unfavorable socio-economic fluctuations at home and abroad, the Branch overcame difficulties, continued to advise the leaders of the Newspaper, made many contributions to help the unit fulfill its assigned political and professional tasks.
It is clearly shown that the press products (print newspapers, online newspapers in Vietnamese and English, special magazines, special pages, special publications...) are constantly improving and improving their professional quality, attracting more readers, increasingly affirming their prestige and position as the leading foreign affairs newspaper in the newspaper industry.
In particular, the Vietnamese-language online newspaper has made a breakthrough in all aspects, especially in terms of the number of readers and ranking position, contributing to a marked improvement in revenue from online advertising.
Thanks to the initiative and creativity in opening up many new methods and products, the press economy activities have been promoted, ensuring revenue sources and covering regular expenses of the Newsroom, contributing to the continuous improvement of the unit's non-business activities, towards full financial autonomy.
The team of journalists has been consolidated and developed with many young writers who have good creativity and strictly comply with the regulations of the press management agencies and the Vietnam Journalists Association, as well as the Party's policies and the State's laws.
That achievement is evidenced by specific rewards for units and individuals: 02 individuals received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; many individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs for outstanding achievements in implementing propaganda work; 01 individual received the Certificate of Merit from the General Department of Politics, the Ministry of National Defense, the unit received the Certificate of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department...
The newspaper's products won the Third Prize and the Consolation Prize of the National Award for External Information in the years; Consolation Prize Press Prize for the cause of great national unity… Won prizes at booth contests of the annual Spring Press Association…
The reports also emphasize that the focus of the Branch's activities in the coming term is to constantly advise and participate in leadership, contributing to the comprehensive development of the newspaper, further improving the professional quality of the reporter team. , editor, quality of content and form of journalistic products, improve prestige and position among readers and newspaper industry; building a strong branch, a spiritual support, a place to train the moral character of members - journalists, and a place to protect the legitimate interests of members.
The enthusiastic discussions at the Congress expressed high agreement with the Association's reports, expressed their wish that the Branch would continue to promote its role in the next term, and recommended the Association of upper-level Journalists. and competent agencies continue to support the activities of the Association such as fostering and developing, ensuring the interests of all members in all aspects and expressing the desire to actively participate in activities, enhance the role of the Association. the role of the Association.

The Editor-in-Chief said that, on the basis of strengthening the World & Vietnam Association at this congress, the Association needs to develop a specific action plan, having close connection with the Vietnam Journalists Association, with press associations and friends, continue to protect the legitimate rights and interests of journalists, strengthen the work of fostering and improving the professional skills of reporters... in the coming time.
In particular, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son wants the Association to continue to propose to the Vietnam Journalists Association to be able to admit 100% of qualified journalists to the Association; organize regular branch activities with practical content.
At the Congress, the delegates trusted to elect the Secretariat for the term 2023-2025, including three comrades, and assigned the Secretariat for the new term to develop specific programs and plans to organize, inspect, and urge the implementation of the Resolution proposed by the Congress of the Branch.
