On the afternoon of February 20th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a document regulating the business of gasoline and diesel fuel.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the global gasoline and oil market during the price adjustment period from February 12 to 19 was influenced by many factors, causing gasoline and oil prices to fluctuate, increasing or decreasing depending on the specific product.

In light of fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have decided not to allocate funds to or disburse from the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for any petroleum products.

From 3 PM on February 20th, the maximum retail prices for petroleum products will be applied as follows:

Businesses adjust prices in accordance with regulations on gasoline and diesel fuel business management and the use of the Price Stabilization Fund. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the implementation of regulations on ensuring the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel and strictly handle violations.
