Tourist boat sinks in Cua Dai sea.

TPO - This afternoon (June 8), a tourist speedboat encountered a problem and sank in the Cua Dai sea area while carrying passengers from Cu Lao Cham to the mainland. All 19 passengers were rescued.

According to initial information, at approximately 3:20 PM, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command received a report from the Cua Dai Border Guard Station regarding an accident involving a speedboat with registration number QNa-1108 on the passenger transport route from Cu Lao Cham to the mainland.

While traveling to an area approximately 4.3 nautical miles east of the Cua Dai Border Guard Station, the vessel began to take on water and sank into the sea.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Border Guard, rescue forces, and specialized vehicles quickly arrived at the scene to deploy rescue operations.

All 19 people on board the boat were safely rescued and taken to safety by emergency vehicles.
