Markets, supermarkets, and stores have proactively increased their stock to meet demand, while also implementing many attractive promotions and discounts to serve consumers.

On the morning of September 1st, the entrances and exits of traditional markets such as Con Market, Han Market, and Dong Da Market in Hai Chau district, Da Nang city, were crowded with visitors and shoppers. Ms. Vo Thi Bach Tuyet, a vendor selling confectionery and souvenirs at Han Market, said that during this holiday, the stock of goods has increased fivefold compared to normal days.

“During the holiday, especially today, the market is very crowded with customers, including Koreans, Indians, and domestic tourists. Our goods are selling very well, and the vendors are very happy. On normal days, we prepare about 20 kilograms, but on holidays, we increase it to 40 to 50 kilograms or more to sell to serve tourists. Prices remain stable and haven't increased,” Ms. Tuyet shared.

It is expected that Han Market will welcome approximately 10,000 to 12,000 tourists daily for sightseeing and shopping. The Han Market management board has deployed personnel to ensure safety, security, and order at the market.

To meet the shopping needs of the people, Co.opmart Da Nang has prepared 1,000 tons of goods, worth more than 20 billion VND (an increase of 30 to 50% compared to normal days), focusing on fresh food, processed food, fashion , cosmetics and household goods. Co.opmart Da Nang is offering many discount programs from 30% to 50%.

Mr. Le Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Da Nang, said: “We expect the number of customers visiting and shopping at Co.opmart Da Nang to increase by 150 to 200% compared to normal days. In addition, Co.opmart Da Nang is also implementing many attractive promotional programs, with products discounted up to 50%, and offers such as buy one get one free. The promotional program also applies to processed food products.”

During this year's National Day holiday on September 2nd, the Da Nang City Market Management force intensified inspections and monitoring of price listing and sales at listed prices at service businesses such as restaurants, hotels, tourist areas, resorts, specialty shops, and souvenir shops.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Son, Director of the Da Nang City Market Management Department, said: “The Market Management Department has directed its units to deploy 100 officials on duty, and also to strengthen local management to promptly detect and prevent violations. We are focusing on disseminating information to shops on streets and business locations frequented by tourists regarding price stabilization, selling at listed prices, and selling goods with clear origins.”
