In response to the exceptionally severe natural disaster, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee were present at the flood and landslide hotspots to direct the evacuation of residents, provide food supplies, and ensure that no one went hungry or cold. They also promptly visited families who lost loved ones to offer condolences, encouragement, and material support; and directed local authorities to regularly care for and help families overcome their losses during this flood.
As soon as the floodwaters began to recede, shifting the focus from response to recovery, the Provincial People's Committee established five task forces, directly led by provincial leaders, to address the situation and provide emergency assistance to the affected population.
During his inspection and guidance on post-flood recovery efforts in Phu Yen ward, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet acknowledged the efforts of the local Party committee, government, and people in proactively responding to and mitigating the damage caused by the floods. He emphasized: "After the floods, recovery is an extremely important task; the spirit is to work day and night, providing the highest level of support to help people quickly stabilize their lives. Local authorities must accurately assess the damage, meticulously and transparently documenting each household and each property to control and use as a basis for implementing support policies…".

In the western communes of the province, a delegation led by Mr. Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the flood relief efforts in Buon Don commune. Mr. Do Huu Huy presented gifts to encourage the local people and the task force; praised Buon Don commune's proactive approach, and requested the local authorities to continue closely monitoring weather developments, avoid complacency, and promptly report any issues beyond their jurisdiction to the province.
Along with inspecting the disaster relief efforts, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued a directive with decisive and specific instructions for departments, agencies, and localities to implement measures to mitigate the consequences of the floods and heavy rains, aiming to quickly stabilize people's lives and restore production. The overarching principle is "swiftness," mobilizing all resources for post-flood reconstruction. Accordingly, essential services such as electricity, water, and telecommunications must be fully restored, ensuring medical care and the return of students to school before November 30, 2025. Temporary housing must be arranged and damaged houses repaired before November 30, 2025. Simultaneously, the construction of new homes and resettlement for households whose houses were destroyed or swept away must be completed before January 31, 2026, so that people can quickly stabilize their lives.
Currently, the mobilization of resources to support the people is being carried out urgently and effectively. As of November 26th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has received and distributed goods worth over 119 billion VND. International organizations have also contributed thousands of kitchen sets, tents, and water purification equipment. All resources are distributed publicly, transparently, and to the right recipients as directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, ensuring that relief supplies reach the people as quickly as possible.

Currently, vitality in the flood-affected areas is being rekindled by these timely support efforts. For example, in Son Hoa commune – where 7 villages were severely flooded, more than 30 houses completely collapsed, and hundreds of hectares of sugarcane and other crops were completely destroyed – Mr. So Minh Chien, Chairman of the Son Hoa Commune People's Committee, said that thanks to timely support, village roads and alleys have been cleared, and 80 tons of relief rice from the province have been distributed to 2/3 of the households. After providing emergency assistance, the commune is implementing post-flood recovery support. The commune has also compiled statistics on damage to the irrigation system and flooded fields, and is proposing seedlings and livestock to help people prepare for the upcoming winter-spring crop in a timely manner.
To comprehensively rebuild and stabilize the lives of the people, Dak Lak province requests the Prime Minister and relevant ministries and agencies to continue supporting the province with food, medical equipment, chemicals for epidemic prevention and control, agricultural supplies, and plant seeds; and requests banks to implement policies to reduce and extend loan repayment periods for production and business households and provide preferential loans for production recovery. The forces of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security , and Military Region 5 are requested to continue providing maximum support in terms of personnel and resources according to the province's recovery plan to proactively implement measures to support communes and wards in quickly overcoming the consequences of the floods.
