(QNO) - Chairing the meeting of advisory agencies coordinating citizen reception in 2023, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh predicted that in 2024, more citizens will come to register for citizen reception, which is also a good thing, because they have new information to listen to and share.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the provincial citizen reception agencies, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh highly appreciated the contributions of the coordinating advisory agencies in the citizen reception work in 2023. At the same time, he affirmed that the provincial leaders wanted the quality of the province's citizen reception work to be improved, so that citizens have a place to trust, to come and reflect their thoughts, aspirations and recommendations.

Regarding the tasks in 2024, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh said that, with the assigned responsibility, the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee must carefully receive petitions sent by citizens, classify them, and forward them to relevant agencies for processing. When citizens register according to the citizen reception schedule, they must guide the arrangement of the content of the case, provide information, arrange appropriate citizen reception members, and especially pay attention to the quality of citizen reception sessions.

“The quality of citizen receptions is important, not the quantity. Whether the citizen's requests and complaints are resolved through the reception is what is important. The rules and regulations for citizen reception must be clear, the attitude must be very gentle, and the agencies must put themselves in the position of the people to understand and share,” emphasized comrade Le Tri Thanh.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh also assigned the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee to coordinate with the Provincial Inspectorate to soon complete the software to monitor, manage, and store the database serving the citizen reception work; so that when receiving citizens, a case can be resolved systematically based on the extracted database (if necessary).

At the same time, it is necessary to study a model of citizen reception to replace the current model, in the direction of saving time, the composition is in accordance with regulations; the quality of citizen reception is improved, people are satisfied, less travel but more work done. Before promulgating, get comments from the Government Inspectorate , if it is piloted this year.

The work of ensuring security and order in the public reception area must be given more attention, anticipating possible situations and finding immediate solutions; strictly handling those who intentionally come to incite and disturb public order.

On the occasion of welcoming the Year of the Dragon, on behalf of the provincial citizen reception agencies, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh wished the representatives of the advisory agencies coordinating citizen reception and their families a new year of peace and happiness.

According to the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee, in 2023, there were 478 cases of citizens coming to the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee to make complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections, with 537 visits and 2,110 people (an increase of 9.9% in the number of cases, 14.3% in the number of visits, and 131.6% in the number of people). Agencies and units have coordinated to serve the provincial leaders in periodically receiving citizens with 76 cases, 115 visits, and 1,545 people.

Of which, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee received 23 cases, 29 visits, 162 people; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, authorized the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received 30 cases, 47 visits, 1,066 people; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council received 5 cases, 11 visits, 139 people; the Provincial National Assembly Delegation received 18 cases, 28 visits, 178 people.
