Maintain credit growth rate
According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Region 2 Branch, as of early August 2025, the total outstanding credit balance in Dong Nai province reached over VND 574.9 trillion, an increase of more than 8.7% compared to the end of 2024. Meanwhile, the total capital mobilization in the area reached over VND 448.6 trillion, an increase of nearly 7.5% compared to the end of 2024.
Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch Nguyen Duc Lenh said: In the first months of 2025, credit activities in Dong Nai province continued to meet the capital needs of enterprises, production and business households and cooperatives, associated with the economic growth driving force and the monetary and credit policy mechanism of the State Bank of Vietnam.
The banking sector in the province has proactively directed credit capital into areas that create growth momentum in the locality such as: investment, export, consumption...; promoted credit programs for infrastructure development, social housing, programs to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses... in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh added: Credit institutions in the province continue to implement solutions to expand and increase credit; exploit and use capital effectively. At the same time, credit institutions in the province continue to promote administrative reform, associated with the development of banking services; proactively adjust and rationalize business processes, and do a good job of communication to suit the 2-level local government model.
Deputy Director of the Social Policy Bank, Dong Nai Branch, Nguyen Sy Cuong, said: The branch has closely coordinated with local authorities and organizations to promote, disseminate and guide people to use digital banking products. At the same time, it has promoted the digitalization of business processes and loan applications, moving towards paperless banking in simple operations.
In addition, in the coming time, the Social Policy Bank, Dong Nai branch, will continue to research and promote the application of information technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, etc. to reduce costs, human resources, save time, optimize management processes, control operations; perform tasks accurately and safely, helping to improve the efficiency of policy credit activities of the entire system, etc.
Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch NGUYEN DUC LENH emphasized: The socio-economic situation of Dong Nai province continues to grow. In particular, the growth drivers of consumption, export and investment continue to receive attention from the locality, and support solutions are being implemented. At the same time, the activities of FDI enterprises and the private economy continue to develop... These will be the driving forces to promote credit growth and economic growth in the bank-customer relationship, thereby realizing the 2025 plan set by the banking sector in Dong Nai.
Strengthening support for people and businesses to access capital
To continue supporting people and businesses to access credit capital, especially credit programs with preferential interest rates, thereby promoting economic growth in the area, the banking sector in the province continues to orient and organize the implementation of appropriate and flexible credit solutions and policies, in order to achieve the set plan goals; as well as create room for growth in the remaining months of 2025.
According to many experts, in order to effectively implement preferential lending programs, bank credit activities need to be combined with solutions to reduce operating costs, in order to stabilize deposit interest rates and reduce lending interest rates. Thereby, supporting enterprises, production and business households and cooperatives to access preferential capital sources, improve operational efficiency and stimulate production and business development.
Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch Nguyen Duc Lenh shared more: Maintaining stable deposit interest rates and reducing operating costs; administrative reform and convenient transaction procedures... have been and are practical solutions, specific actions directed and implemented by the State Bank of Vietnam throughout the entire system of credit institutions to achieve the core goal of supporting businesses and promoting economic growth in the last months of 2025.
Currently, the banking sector is focusing credit capital on priority development sectors, sectors that are the driving force for economic growth. In particular, it continues to effectively implement credit programs for lending to groups of sectors and fields: small and medium enterprises, exports, agriculture and rural areas, supporting industries and high-tech enterprises. In addition, there are credit packages for forestry and fishery sectors; credit packages for infrastructure development and application of science and technology; credit packages for social housing development and housing for young people under 35 years old; green credit programs and loans for creative startups, etc.
Vice President of Dong Nai Import-Export Association Nguyen Duy Hung said: Enterprises in the field of import and export, especially small and medium enterprises in the locality, want support programs, especially credit capital, green finance for enterprises to enhance digital transformation, green transformation and promote innovation. In particular, in the current context, the story of digital transformation, green transformation is no longer a choice but has become a vital requirement in the development orientation of enterprises. Meanwhile, many enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, still lack financial resources for this transformation.
