Join hands to build the journey for women's progress

Authorized by the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Board of Directors of TYM Thanh Hoa branch awarded the "For the Advancement of Vietnamese Women" Medal to the staff of TYM Thanh Hoa branch.

Holding the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal awarded by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ms. Le Thi Trang, a technical officer of TYM Thanh Hoa branch, excitedly shared: "After 17 years of working at TYM Thanh Hoa branch, this is a noble award that I am honored to receive. With my efforts, dedication and creativity, I always strive to self-study, practice and improve my professional qualifications, and be close to customers in the locality where I work. At the same time, I proactively implement the directives of superiors, ensure timely settlement of customers' rights and maintain relationships with local authorities. My main professional work is as a technical officer, I am managing 16 clusters in 5 communes: Luu Ve, Tien Trang, Quang Ngoc, Quang Yen and Quang Binh , I have mobilized 1,800 customers who are poor and vulnerable women to join TYM to develop the economy; with a total outstanding loan balance of 11 billion VND. VND, the customer's savings balance is 5 billion VND, the loan repayment rate is 100%. At the same time, I have helped and supported more than 200 members to escape poverty; proposed to the Board of Directors of TYM Thanh Hoa to give many gifts to customers who are parishioners, poor households, and near-poor households on the occasion of Lunar New Year every year. Along with that, I always learn about the needs of customers in the area I am in charge of, propose to open training classes on business, farming, animal husbandry, and improve digital technology skills for hundreds of customers.

Also one of the officers receiving the Medal "For the Development of Vietnamese Women", Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, technical officer of Transaction Office 01 of TYM Nam Thanh Hoa branch, said: "In 13 years of working at TYM Thanh Hoa, I have always strived and regularly improved my knowledge to complete the assigned tasks. Every week, closely following the work plan, I do not hesitate to go to the villages and streets to propagate, mobilize, support and guide women and their families to participate in borrowing capital, depositing savings and enjoying support from TYM's social security activities. Thereby, helping women as customers know how to use loans effectively, apply knowledge and skills through cluster meetings".

The most outstanding feature in recent times is that she has directly participated in training 2 "Gender and Business" classes; introduced 100 customers to participate in the "Savings Education" class; supported more than 100 women to participate in the "Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change" program... In regular meetings, she regularly communicates to customers who come to learn about "Improving digital technology access capacity for TYM customers". Participated in organizing health check-ups and providing free medicine for TYM customers, organized economic model tours, and trained to improve cluster management capacity for more than 200 customers. Directly reviewed and proposed to complete documents and support procedures for 1 poor customer to receive a "Warm House of Love" house; presented 2 "New Rural" projects and gave gifts to 6 children of customers who received scholarships under the "TYM Wings of Dreams" program; supporting 30 gifts for poor households and 12 gifts for families of war invalids, martyrs, and policy families on the occasion of July 27. In addition, in transactions, she always fulfills her duties and responsibilities, performs them safely, accurately, ensures the right person, the right purpose, the right regulations and the right progress. With the assigned task of being a treasurer, every year she directly disburses loans to more than 8,000 customers, with an average total capital disbursement of 250 billion VND/year.

Sharing with us more about the TYM Thanh Hoa officers who were honored to receive the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dien, Director of TYM Thanh Hoa branch, said: Over the past 20 years, with the mission of "Improving the quality of life of poor women through credit and savings support, creating opportunities for women to participate in economic and social activities, contributing to improving the status of women", TYM Thanh Hoa has had 15 officers receive the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal. In 2024 alone, 9 officers of TYM Thanh Hoa branch and TYM Nam Thanh Hoa branch were honored to receive the medal. This is an award from the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union to TYM officers who have made many contributions for their dedication and contribution to microfinance activities and in supporting women in economic development at the grassroots level. It is not only a personal pride but also a collective honor for TYM Thanh Hoa, for their contributions in supporting poor and disadvantaged women to improve their family economic life. That award is a great source of motivation for TYM Thanh Hoa staff to continue spreading humanistic values and the mission for the advancement of Vietnamese women.
