Bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe residential area in Thong Nhat village, Thanh Vinh commune.
From a mountainous village with many difficulties, up to now, the appearance of the new rural area in Thong Nhat village has been improving, with expanded concrete roads and synchronous and spacious infrastructure investment. Sharing about the journey of change, Mr. Tran Duy Khang, Party cell secretary and head of Thong Nhat village, said: The above results are thanks to the participation of the entire political system, including the important role of the village front work committee and mass organizations in implementing well the campaigns and emulation movements with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people receive".
In 2018, Anh Thanh village and Cu Nhan village merged into Thong Nhat village, Anh Thanh village cultural house was chosen as a common place for people's activities. With a large population, the construction items and cultural institutions could not meet the living needs of the people. Therefore, in order to have a place for regular meetings and activities for the people, the Party cell, the Front working committee and organizations "went to every alley, knocked on every door" to propagate and mobilize people, thereby agreeing to contribute labor and money to invest in building water wells, purchasing tables, chairs, loudspeakers... with a total cost of over 150 million VND.
Since the cultural house was invested, people have come to meetings more frequently and this is also a place to strengthen the village spirit, discuss and contribute to the construction of new rural areas. From the fact that many households in the village have voluntarily donated land, expanded roads to contributing to the construction of welfare works. Therefore, the appearance of the new rural areas has changed a lot. Up to now, 100% of the roads in the village have been concreted, along both sides of the road are green fences carefully trimmed by the people, the village roads and alleys are green, clean and beautiful; installing electric lighting systems, installing 13 cameras on the main roads, where many people pass by, thereby contributing to ensuring security and order in the village. From 2021 to now, the people in Thong Nhat village have contributed over 1 billion VND to invest in building more and more spacious infrastructure.
With the motto "using the people's strength to care for the people", after merging the communes: Thanh Vinh, Thanh Yen, Thanh My, Thanh Minh into Thanh Vinh commune with a natural area of 115.47km2, a population of 27,008 people with 2 main ethnic groups living, Kinh and Muong, in which the Muong ethnic group accounts for 72.2%. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Vinh Commune, Bui Van Vien said: “Based on its functions and tasks, to promote the role of gathering and uniting the entire people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Vinh Commune always strives to innovate the content and methods of operation, diversify the forms of gathering, expand the great solidarity bloc, actively propagate and mobilize the people to effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in the locality. Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune has coordinated to promote propaganda and mobilize all classes of people to promote the role of the subject and the spirit of solidarity of the people in implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
Over the past 2 years, the commune has mobilized people to contribute over 1.3 billion VND to build projects such as rural roads, street lighting, construction and renovation of the cultural house campus. Typical examples include Quyet Thang village building a gate for the village cultural house, building street lighting with a total cost of over 360 million VND; Loc Phuong 2 village mobilized people, philanthropists, and businesses to invest in building a stadium campus, a playground with a total cost of 290 million VND... From the above results, it has contributed to the change of Thanh Vinh mountainous commune. Up to now, the commune has 11/32 villages recognized as meeting the standards of a new rural village.
Activities for the poor, such as the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", the peak month for the poor were effectively implemented by the commune's Fatherland Front. In particular, implementing the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties, in the past 2 years the commune has mobilized all resources to start building houses for 103 households, of which 97 households built new houses and 6 households repaired...
The above specific actions have contributed to creating a new rural appearance in the mountainous commune of Thanh Vinh, thereby constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people, contributing with the Party Committee, government and people in the commune to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, and self-improvement, striving to achieve a new rural commune by 2030.
