On April 20, according to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , up to now, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has not recorded any medical facilities buying and selling fake milk.

Previously, on April 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health sent an urgent dispatch to affiliated medical examination and treatment facilities and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to report on the business situation and use of milk at medical examination and treatment facilities.

The document states that currently, the media has information about a production and trading line of fake milk for people with diabetes, kidney failure, premature babies, pregnant women, including supply in medical examination and treatment facilities.

To ensure safety for users, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health requests that units urgently review and report the purchase and sale of fake milk and nutritional products that have been announced in the media (if any).

At the same time, report to the Department of Health before 11:00 a.m. on April 19.

In case of trading in fake milk and nutritional products, please report immediately to the Department of Health by phone.

Review the practice of medical staff consulting, introducing and selling dairy products, especially fake milk.

According to the Ministry of Health , recently, there have been reports of medical staff advising and instructing patients and their families on the use of milk products produced and distributed by a number of businesses, organizations and individuals, which were investigated and discovered to be fake milk, and the production and trade of fake drugs on a large scale...

Regarding the consumption of non-medicinal products such as milk, functional foods, etc. in medical examination and treatment facilities, the Ministry of Health requests that directors of hospitals under the Ministry and directors of provincial and municipal health departments inspect and review the medical staff's consultation, introduction, and sale of milk products (especially fake milk products that have been investigated and discovered by the investigation agency), functional foods, etc. to patients and their families.

Review and ensure that nutrition activities in hospitals comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Health on nutrition activities in hospitals.

Inspect and supervise the information, advertising, marketing, prescription, consultation, labeling, and instructions for use of non-medicinal products that are used to prevent, cure, diagnose, treat, alleviate, and regulate physiological functions of the human body.
