This morning, Thien Cam Tourist Area (Thien Cam Commune) looked like a ruined construction site, with corrugated iron roofs flying everywhere, restaurant roofs blown off, glass windows shattered, tangled electric wires falling close to the road, and trees broken everywhere. The sea was still roaring, high waves crashing against the shore, and the wind howling. The beach resort was struggling to recover after two consecutive storms. From above, Thien Cam Beach Resort this morning is covered in a layer of dust from drizzle, corrugated iron roofs are scattered everywhere, many structures are no longer intact after storm No. 10 raged for hours last night and early this morning.
Roofing sheets from restaurants and hotels were blown away by the storm and scattered along the coast. Waves carried debris deep into residential areas. Many large coastal restaurants had their roofs blown off and their windows shattered. Tables and chairs lay haphazardly on the flooded tiled floors.
While the sky was still misty with drizzle and the wind was still howling, the people of Thien Cam were busy counting the damage after the storm. Everyone was urgently rebuilding their roofs, picking up each sheet of corrugated iron, rearranging tables and chairs, and collecting the remaining belongings after a stormy night.
Many large trees were knocked down and canopies were blown away, blocking the main entrance to Thien Cam beach. Despite being carefully reinforced in advance, this seaside restaurant still could not withstand the ravages of storm No. 10. The entire roof was blown away by the wind, the iron frames were bent, the glass doors were shattered, and tables and chairs were scattered. Mr. Tran Do Na - owner of a restaurant in Thien Cam Beach Resort stood still among the rubble. "We just repaired it the day before, we didn't have time to welcome guests and now we've lost everything," said Mr. Na.said as if choked.
Power lines fell onto the street after the storm, affecting traffic. Although the storm has passed, Thien Cam beach still has big waves, 2-3 meters high, accompanied by strong winds and prolonged drizzle, making recovery work difficult. Several coastal hotels had their roofs blown off, windows broken, signs knocked down, and infrastructure severely damaged.
