(NLĐO) - To date, individuals who were allowed to defer payment for winning bids on 205 land plots have still not paid the 15.1 billion VND deposit as recommended by the Government Inspectorate .
On December 10th, the People's Committee of Chu Se district, Gia Lai province, announced that it is in the process of recovering the deposit money from three individuals who were late in paying for 205 land plots in the planned Administrative Center and Ecological Urban Area in the East of Chu Se town.
Previously, the Government Inspectorate pointed out that in 2019, the People's Committee of Chu Se district organized an auction for land use rights in the planned area. However, three individuals, Ms. Ho Thi Hien, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh, and Mr. Le Viet Duc, were late in paying the winning bids for 205 land plots, ranging from 20 to over 300 days.
Three people who won the auction for 205 land plots in the planned Administrative Center and Ecological Urban Area in the East of Chu Se town have been late in paying.
However, the District Land Development and Auction Supervision Council and the People's Committee of Chư Sê District did not cancel the auction results or recover the deposit of over 15.1 billion VND for the state budget. Furthermore, the People's Committee of Chư Sê District even allowed an extension of the deadline for payment of the winning bid, which is against regulations.
The Government Inspectorate has determined that the primary responsibility for the delay in payment of auction winning bids for land use rights lies with Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh - former Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Se District, currently Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Forest Protection and Development Fund; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Se District; the Head of the Tax Department of Chu Se - Chu Puh area; and related departments.
Following the conclusions of the Government Inspectorate, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the recovery of the deposit amount exceeding 15.1 billion VND from Ms. Ho Thi Hien, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh, and Mr. Le Viet Duc no later than the fourth quarter of 2024. However, according to the Chu Se District People's Committee, these individuals have yet to repay the money.
Having been assigned the task of monitoring and urging units to recover the aforementioned funds, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance has issued a document requesting the People's Committee of Chu Se District to organize the deposit of these funds into the account of the Government Inspectorate.
