Xiêm Cán Pagoda, also known as Komphisako Prechru, belongs to the Theravada Buddhist tradition of the Khmer people. However, the name Xiêm Cán originates from the Teochew dialect, the language of the largest ethnic group in Bac Lieu .
Located on this prime, spacious site, the ancient temple is part of a complex that bears the distinctive architectural style of the Khmer people. All elements combine to create a majestic and magnificent whole, standing out amidst the natural landscape.
