Coach Tran Tien Dai's team won the championship with the same 38 points as Hanoi FC but ranked higher thanks to the advantage of goal difference. They drew 1-1 with Thanh Hoa FC in the final round. Meanwhile, the 3-2 victory was not enough for Hanoi FC to surpass their opponents on the rankings.
