During the trading session on August 27th, both buyers and sellers were quite cautious, mostly probing, resulting in trading within a narrow range. By the end of the morning session, the VN-Index had fallen 4 points to 1,276.02 points.
In the afternoon session, the market continued its downward trend, but towards the end of the session, improved demand, especially from Vingroup 's shares which performed positively, helped the market rise.
Vingroup's shares played a crucial role in driving the market upward. VIC, the seventh largest stock by market capitalization, surged to its ceiling price, contributing 2.93 points to the VN-Index. This single stock's contribution was equivalent to half of the combined points of the top 10 stocks contributing the most today.

Specialized services and trade, real estate, household goods, and personal items were among the sectors that increased by over 1%.
In the real estate sector, besides VIC and VHM, many other stocks also increased in price, such as VRE, NVL, NLG, etc.
Conversely, financial services, consumer services, retail sales of food and necessities, telecommunications, and semiconductors declined by more than 1%.
