Multiple solutions
Currently, Phu Vang commune has 192 poor households and 254 near-poor households; by 2025, this number had decreased by 41 poor households and 48 near-poor households. The poverty rate according to the multidimensional standard decreased to 2.02%, and the near-poverty rate to 2.68%. Behind these poverty reduction figures, many lives have been transformed; leading to more prosperous, happy, and sustainable lives.
To provide a solid foundation for the people's journey to escape poverty, the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Phu Vang commune, and the entire political system have joined forces and implemented many appropriate and practical solutions.
Here and there in the villages, dozens of houses have been repaired or rebuilt with financial support, still smelling of fresh mortar, their walls "dressed" in pristine new paint, bringing joy and a secure place to live for dozens of families, allowing them to focus on their work, livelihoods, and economic development. On faces marked by hardship, smiles of excitement have brightened as two commercial cattle farming models and projects have been supported for the people, with 22 households participating, initially yielding economic benefits and creating stable jobs. With persistent hard work, starting from the initial support of breeding cattle, the number of livestock in each family will be able to grow.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Vang commune, Le Duc Loc, shared that one of the key aspects of the journey towards poverty reduction and sustainable economic development is creating jobs for workers. In 2025, Phu Vang commune created jobs for 691 out of 680 workers, achieving 101.6% of the plan. To date, 287 workers from the commune have gone to work abroad under contract (including 217 graduates from universities, colleges, and vocational schools), mainly in Japan, Poland, and South Korea. With an income of 20 million to over 30 million VND (after deducting living expenses), after a few years of hard work abroad, these people can accumulate hundreds of millions to around 1 billion VND.

Over the years, in Phu Da town, Vinh Ha commune, and the former Phu Gia commune (now merged into Phu Vang commune), hundreds of young people who went to work abroad each year have returned to their hometowns, making effective contributions to poverty reduction and sustainable economic development. A prime example is Mr. Vo Van To, who, with his accumulated capital, established a tofu production facility.
The local community also accompanied and provided all the necessary conditions and support in Mr. To's entrepreneurial journey, from establishing the production facility to the founding of the DAFUSA Economic Development Cooperative, specializing in the production of clean tofu in Vien Trinh village. The products sold well, laying the groundwork for future investment and development of similar businesses, while simultaneously spreading confidence and motivation to other young people.
To address employment issues for local workers more effectively, Phu Vang commune collaborated with the Regional Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education (Region 3) to organize two vocational training courses. These included an industrial sewing course with 17 participants and a brackish water fish farming course with 25 participants. Most of the participants came from advantageous backgrounds, such as living near the lagoon and coming from families with a tradition of aquaculture. Learning and acquiring new knowledge and techniques in aquaculture is key to achieving the most successful farming seasons.

In its orientations and key tasks for 2026 to achieve sustainable economic development, the Phu Vang commune government has identified a focus on developing industry in a way that enhances added value, as the industrial and construction sectors are dominant and have significant potential for socio-economic development in the locality.
The Phu Da Industrial Park has gradually improved its infrastructure, and to date, six companies have invested in manufacturing plants, providing employment for over 5,000 workers, including approximately 2,000 local workers.
