Bringing warmth from the mainland to the island.
The journey of over 1,000 nautical miles undertaken by the No. 17 working group to visit and work in the Truong Sa Special Zone, Khanh Hoa province, and the DK1 platform on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland has been successfully completed, ensuring absolute safety and achieving comprehensive results as planned. The delegation from Thai Nguyen province participating in the trip was led by Mr. Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
During the trip, the delegation visited and encouraged officers, soldiers, and people on the islands of Song Tu Tay, Son Ca, Sinh Ton Dong, Tien Nu B, Nui Le C, Da Tay A, and Truong Sa; and visited the patrol ship and the DK1/20 Ba Ke platform.
At each destination, the delegation held meetings, exchanged views, and encouraged officers, soldiers, civilians, and other forces who are working day and night to protect the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands. Many gifts, essential supplies, and living equipment were handed directly to the military and civilians on the islands, demonstrating the deep affection of the mainland for the homeland's seas and islands.
In particular, Thai Nguyen province provided 1 billion VND to support the construction of facilities serving the cultural and spiritual lives of officers, soldiers, and people on the islands. In addition, at each island visited, the delegation and individuals and businesses also presented many gifts to officers, soldiers, and people on the islands, as well as to officers and soldiers from Thai Nguyen province currently serving in the Truong Sa archipelago.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the mission, the head of Task Force No. 17, Colonel Nguyen Duy Thieu, Deputy Head of Logistics and Technical Services of the Navy, highly appreciated the comprehensive results of the trip. Colonel Nguyen Duy Thieu emphasized that the mission not only ensured absolute safety but also strongly spread the spirit of "The whole country for Truong Sa, Truong Sa for the whole country".

Through direct visits, delegations from various localities promptly encouraged, shared difficulties, and brought warmth from the mainland to the soldiers and civilians in the frontline areas. This also serves as a valuable practical lesson, contributing to strengthening the great unity between the military and the people, and raising awareness and responsibility of localities in the task of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.

One of the most moving activities during the trip was the memorial ceremony for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands. In a solemn atmosphere amidst the sea and sky of the Fatherland, delegates respectfully offered incense and laid wreaths in remembrance, expressing their profound gratitude to those who fell for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the country.

The delegates also attended the flag-raising ceremony and troop review on Truong Sa Island. Under the sacred red flag with a yellow star, the members of the delegation, along with officers, soldiers, and people on the island, performed the flag-raising ceremony and sang the national anthem in a solemn and moving atmosphere. This was also a moment that left a deep impression on those from the mainland who were visiting Truong Sa for the first time.
During their trip to the Truong Sa Archipelago, the delegation also performed the ritual of offering incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House on Truong Sa Island and offered incense in gratitude at the General Vo Nguyen Giap Park on Son Ca Island. These solemn and sacred ceremonies expressed profound respect and gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap to the cause of national liberation, building and firmly defending the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.

In addition, the delegation organized many cultural and artistic exchange programs with officers, soldiers, and people on the island. Songs about the homeland, the country, and the naval soldiers, along with collective activities, contributed to strengthening the bond between the military and the people, and further motivated the forces who are steadfastly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands day and night.
Concluding the trip, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Dong Van Luu shared that the visit to the military and people in the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1/20 platform was an honor and a source of pride for each member of the Thai Nguyen delegation. Through the journey to the islands and platforms, the delegates gained a deeper understanding of the hardships and silent sacrifices of the officers, soldiers, and people who are clinging to the sea and islands day and night to safeguard the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Despite challenging living conditions, weather, and working environments, officers and soldiers on the Truong Sa Archipelago and the DK1 platform have consistently maintained their resolve and sense of responsibility, successfully fulfilling their assigned duties.
