The security camera system and streetlights in Cao Xa commune were installed through social mobilization, with active contributions from members of the Farmers' Association.

From the beginning of 2024 to the present, the Farmers' Association at all levels has mobilized members and farmers to donate over 110,000 of land and nearly 36,000 man-days of labor, participating in the construction and repair of more than 200 km of rural roads, 183 km of canals, and 158 bridges and culverts, contributing over 25 billion VND. 100% of the Association's branches in the province have actively mobilized members to participate in regular village and hamlet cleaning, general environmental sanitation campaigns, waste collection in residential areas, and tree planting, building a "green - clean - beautiful" living environment.

Alongside this, emulation movements for excellent production and business practices have been widely implemented, attracting a large number of members to participate. As a result, more and more large-scale production models with business capital of tens of billions of dong have emerged, creating stable jobs for many workers with an average income of 7-10 million dong/person/month, helping to solve unemployment, increase income, improve the living standards of members and farmers, and contribute to ensuring social security.

Actively promoting their role as key players in building new rural areas, in recent years, the Farmers' Associations at all levels in Thanh Ba district have undertaken many projects and tasks such as: installing street lighting, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, providing capital support, donating livestock to help poor members, contributing labor, participating in land clearance for rural infrastructure construction projects, and waste treatment... thereby promoting the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, and creativity of members and farmers in production and actively participating in building new rural areas. Throughout the district, hundreds of members have voluntarily donated land totaling 7,187 and contributed over 1,433 labor days to build rural infrastructure, construct and repair 18.66 km of rural roads, and reinforce and repair 3.6 km of irrigation canals...

The family of Mr. Le Van Yen (on the left), from Quang Yen commune, Thanh Ba district, donated over 80 square meters of their garden land to expand rural roads.

The New Rural Development program has truly become a widespread movement, attracting a large number of cadres and farmer association members to actively participate with many innovative models and approaches, bringing practical results, contributing to changing the face of rural areas, making a positive contribution to socio -economic development in localities, and improving the quality of life for people.

Considered exemplary branches of the Lam Thao District Farmers' Association, the Farmers' Associations of Phung Nguyen, Cao Xa, Son Vi communes, etc., have implemented many specific activities and tasks suitable to the local situation, especially in raising people's awareness of voluntarily donating land for road construction, proactively contributing to building model new rural residential areas, and contributing to changing the face of the countryside to become increasingly prosperous.

For example, in Zone 5, Phung Nguyen commune, nearly 20 members recently donated a total of 300 square meters of land, worth 180 million VND, to expand the inter-zone road. Many households voluntarily dismantled parts of their kitchens to ensure the road expansion met the design specifications, and hundreds of members assisted families in demolishing fences and cleaning up afterward. In addition, the Association has promoted and expanded environmental protection models such as collecting and processing waste in residential areas, empty bottles, packaging, and pesticide containers in the fields; and models of clean, organic agricultural production ensuring food safety and hygiene.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hung - Chairman of the District Farmers' Association, said: "In the past period, the Association has focused on mobilizing members and farmers to actively implement the National Target Program for building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and protecting the environment, while actively innovating and improving the effectiveness of consulting, support, services, and vocational training activities for farmers to develop production and business, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction in the locality, building a strong and united association, and striving for Lam Thao district to achieve the advanced new rural district standard by 2025."

It is evident that each project and task undertaken by the Farmers' Association is a significant and meaningful highlight, demonstrating the pioneering and exemplary role of the organization in all movements, affirming the position and role of farmers as the subject and center of the process of agricultural development, rural economy, and the construction of new rural areas in the locality.
