(Baohatinh.vn) - The recent thunderstorms have flattened over 8,000 hectares of spring rice in Ha Tinh province. Local authorities have mobilized forces to help farmers harvest the rice by hand, minimizing losses.

In Dong Ba area, Ngu Que village (Cam Binh commune), forces from the commune's Military Command, militia, Fatherland Front, and other organizations and associations are quickly assisting Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hieu's family in harvesting 3 sao (approximately 0.3 hectares) of rice that had been flattened by the flood.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hieu from Ngu Que village, Cam Binh commune, shared: " Seeing the rice fields flattened and submerged in water, I couldn't help but worry. Thanks to the timely support of the forces in the commune, many areas of flattened rice were basically harvested by morning, and the damage has been significantly reduced ."

To help people harvest over 230 hectares of flattened spring rice, Cam Binh commune has mobilized various forces over the past two days. The green uniforms of soldiers, militia, youth union members, and veterans have spread across the fields to assist the local people. The rice is being harvested by hand to minimize losses and maintain grain quality.

Not only in Cam Binh commune, but also in Cam Lac commune in recent days, many forces have been mobilized to help people harvest rice that has been flattened by the flood. From early morning to late afternoon, officials, youth union members, militia, and local people have been present in the fields to harvest and transport rice for disadvantaged and lonely families.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Than, Deputy Commander of the Cam Lac Commune Military Command, said: " Over the past two days, our unit has mobilized more than 200 man-days to assist farmers in harvesting their flattened rice crops. In the coming time, we will continue to support farmers in harvesting before the weather worsens ."

To help people harvest 303 hectares of rice that had been flattened, Dong Loc commune issued a directive assigning forces to provide direct support in the villages.

The armed forces in Dong Loc commune also assist in threshing rice right in the fields, helping people save time and effort in transportation.

The combined efforts of various forces helped the people quickly harvest the flattened rice crop, minimizing damage caused by the weather and leaving a positive image of responsibility and solidarity with the people. During the recent thunderstorms, over 8,000 hectares of rice fields across the province were flattened. Currently, local authorities are mobilizing maximum resources and equipment to support people in harvesting the rice quickly and efficiently. Priority is being given to harvesting low-lying areas to minimize yield losses. As soon as the rice is harvested, people need to quickly prepare the land, striving to complete the planting of the summer-autumn crop before June 5th.
