Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN), has announced AWS Build, a new global program designed to support early cloud computing owners on their journey to develop, refine, and launch their innovative applications.
Specifically, over 10 weeks, a group of up to 500 startup founders worldwide will receive guidance on the technical and business methods needed to best leverage the flexibility and scalability of AWS technology when launching their minimum availability product (MVP).
Startups will also learn the fundamental technical principles for integrating cutting-edge cloud technologies into product development, such as analytics and serverless computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
This program also helps business founders make strategic decisions about product development, generating revenue from ideas, finding and when to use beta customers, and other related topics to successfully launch their products.
Howard Wright, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS, said: “AWS Build is designed to support founders in the early stages of their startup journey, helping them turn ideas into innovative products. Our goal is to help create a new generation of startups that can harness the power of the AWS cloud in new ways, giving them the foundational knowledge to be ready to scale.”
Registration for the program is open from today until September 22, 2023, at https://aws.amazon.com/startups/accelerators/build.
To apply for the AWS Build program, all applicants must join AWS Activate, AWS's startup hub, which provides access to self-learning technical and business content, including diverse specialized topics such as fundraising, legal guidance, technical documentation on solution architecture, and trending topics like AI generation.
Additionally, registered participants may be eligible to sign up for other credit packages worth up to $100,000 as they continue their cloud journey, as well as benefit from partner products and services through AWS Activate.
