The program was solemnly organized to practically commemorate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025); the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2025); and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025). The program was directed by the City's Organizing Committee for Major Festivals, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the City Command, and implemented by the City Arts Center in collaboration with the Gia Dinh Regiment.
During the program, the Organizing Committee for Major Festivals of Ho Chi Minh City will present portrait statues of President Ho Chi Minh to communes and wards throughout the city.
This activity carries profound political and cultural significance; it demonstrates the affection, responsibility, and pride of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 in general and the Armed Forces of Ho Chi Minh City in particular towards the sacred image of President Ho Chi Minh - the brilliant leader of the Party, State, and Vietnamese nation, a world cultural figure, and the beloved father of the people's armed forces.
This activity will contribute to strengthening traditional education and consolidating the political and spiritual foundation at the grassroots level. It is also an opportunity to further strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people, demonstrating the deep concern of the Ministry of National Defense , the Military Region Command, and the city's leadership for the grassroots political system.
The program also presented to leaders, delegates, and soldiers traditional revolutionary musical compositions, timeless songs, alongside meaningful new songs praising the homeland, encouraging Vietnamese youth and the youth of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of national construction and renewal, strongly promoting the spirit of pioneering, dynamism, creativity, preserving cultural identity, and together building a modern, civilized, and sustainably developed Ho Chi Minh City.
The program features performances by artists such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, singers Cam Ly, Nguyen Phi Hung, Luu Hien Trinh, Pham Dong Dieu Ly, Do Tung Lam, Ho Tuan Phuc, RYO, Tieu Minh Phung, the Mat Ngoc group, circus artists Hien Phuoc, Truc Ly, Tan Thanh, Kien Quang, Duc Anh, violinist Tan Titan…
