This is the fourth year the program has been implemented, aiming to continue spreading positive humanitarian values and caring for the material and spiritual well-being of workers. With the theme "Thank You to the Guardians of Happiness," the 2026 Tet Construction program hopes to bring a warm, fulfilling, safe, and complete Tet holiday to tens of thousands of workers nationwide.

A key highlight of the 2026 Tet Construction Program is to promote a culture of safety among workers, emphasizing that safety is always the top priority in labor and a fundamental value in protecting everyone's well-being.
The program will be implemented from December 2025 to February 2026 at 72 Coteccons construction sites nationwide, as well as programs specifically for sanitation and urban drainage workers in Hanoi , Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. The program is expected to distribute nearly 30,000 gifts and organize many Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations such as commemorative photo sessions, health check-ups, and Tet haircuts, with the joint efforts of ministries, agencies, media outlets, youth organizations, and volunteers.
The "Building Dreams" scholarship program, a highlight of the 2024-2025 academic year, will continue into the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative calls for collective support for the children of factory workers who have achieved above-average academic results, creating more learning opportunities and building a foundation of knowledge for future generations.
This year, Nhan Dan Newspaper called on businesses to support the "Building Tet 2026" program with in-kind donations for sanitation and urban water supply and drainage workers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Among the donors, World Dairy Investment Joint Stock Company contributed in-kind donations worth 446.5 million VND; Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination Center System contributed in-kind donations worth 255 million VND...
Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , stated that, as a leading media organization, Nhan Dan Newspaper always focuses on implementing many social activities and charitable programs to spread the spirit of humanity, encourage beautiful actions, and create motivation for organizations, businesses, and individuals to join hands for the community.
In 2026, Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to collaborate with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company to organize the "Building Tet" program, aiming to provide Tet celebrations for workers in the construction, environmental sanitation, and urban drainage industries.
"With this year's theme emphasizing a culture of safety and gratitude for those who silently safeguard happiness, we expect 'Building Tet 2026' to continue receiving widespread support from the press and the business community. Through the program, positive values will be spread more widely, contributing to a peaceful and warm Spring Festival in 2026 for workers; at the same time, encouraging a sense of responsibility and efforts to build a humane and sustainable working environment," Comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, highly appreciated and acknowledged the "Building Tet" program as a humane initiative, clearly demonstrating the social responsibility of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons in caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers, especially those working directly in arduous and difficult conditions, far from their families.
The "Building for Tet 2026" program not only provides Tet gifts, healthcare, and cultural and spiritual activities for tens of thousands of workers, but also strongly promotes a culture of workplace safety, considering safety as a consistent message to protect the long-term happiness of workers.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that the Tet Building Program will continue to expand in scale, target beneficiaries, and content of care; linking Tet activities with long-term policies on occupational safety and hygiene, occupational health, legal advice, and union member welfare; and encouraging the participation of many businesses and industry associations to spread the model of caring for workers to many other fields.
Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang, Deputy General Director of Coteccons, shared that the "Building for Tet" campaign has gone beyond the scope of a Tet holiday welfare activity to become a "festival for workers," where construction workers are listened to, honored, and given well-deserved thanks.
According to Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang: “Construction workers are the ones who directly create the appearance of buildings, yet they are also the most humble and quiet. Every step they take on the construction site, every action they perform, is linked to the responsibility of ensuring safety for themselves and their teammates. For Coteccons, the safety of workers is non-negotiable – it is always the highest priority in every decision, every process, and every action on the construction site. Therefore, 'Building for Tet 2026' is not only a tribute to the construction workers, but also an effort to strongly spread a culture of safety, so that every worker can work today with peace of mind and return home happily to their families.”
Over the years, the "Building for Tet" program has become a community-based initiative, supported by numerous media outlets, social organizations, and businesses nationwide. It's also a model initiated with the hope of being replicated both within and outside the construction industry, aiming to provide practical and timely support for workers. Continuing the program in 2026 affirms the social responsibility of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons, creating further motivation for workers to confidently and securely commit to their jobs during a time when the country is accelerating industrialization and modernization.
The "Building Tet" initiative, launched in 2023, has achieved remarkable milestones over the past three years (2023-2024-2025) with the joint efforts of various organizations and units: It has been present in 22 provinces and cities and at 145 construction sites nationwide; delivered 48,000 Tet gifts directly to workers; and provided health check-ups for over 25,000 workers right at their construction sites.
"Building Tet" has become a platform dedicated to comprehensively caring for employees, with the collaboration and support of many units and closely linked to Coteccons' sustainable development strategy. In 2024, "Building Tet" was honored at the Human Act Prize in the category of community-oriented ideas.
