Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, Vice Principal of Trong Diem Secondary School, said that continuing the digital transformation efforts, this school year, the school has deployed an automatic attendance system using recognition technology, an effective "attendance 4.0" solution.

The system includes cameras installed at the school gate and classroom areas, helping to take attendance quickly and accurately right from the beginning of class.

This activity has brought about clear results. For schools and teachers, automatic attendance helps reduce administrative burdens and makes it easier to manage student numbers. For students, the system creates a habit of going to school on time and practicing discipline. In particular, parents will feel secure when receiving text messages notifying them that their children have arrived at school.

According to Ms. Loan, the school not only focuses on facilities, but also focuses on improving the capacity of the teaching staff.

At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, in response to the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) nomination program, the school board launched and encouraged all teachers to participate.

After actively studying and completing tests, on September 15, 2025, the school had 27 teachers, including administrators and teachers of the school, honored to receive congratulatory letters from Microsoft, officially recognized as Microsoft's innovative education experts.

The application of AI has helped teachers design more engaging lectures, create diverse learning materials, and personalize learning paths for each student.

On the students' side, they use AI to create unique learning products such as videos, posters, multimedia presentations, etc., directly serving projects and lessons in class.

“This approach not only makes lectures more vivid and intuitive, but also trains students in the skills of using technology intelligently and effectively, preparing them for the future,” said Ms. Loan.

Ms. Loan added that in her work as a homeroom teacher, the school also promotes the use of software to manage students and interact with parents, including ClassDojo, Google classroom, etc.

The application of this software has created an open educational environment, helping to connect families and schools online, helping teachers and parents easily monitor their children's learning and training process in class.

Not only stopping at a few pilot models, the efforts of the Quang Ninh Education sector in applying IT and digital transformation are also shown in impressive numbers when currently the whole province has 253/627 educational institutions from preschool to high school (accounting for nearly 40.4%) recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as reaching level 3 (the highest level) in digital transformation.

100% of educational institutions in the province have developed plans and organized online teaching on the LMS platform; built digital learning materials and online question banks to meet students' self-study and self-training requirements...
