Regarding this trip of the Vietnamese women's team, captain Huynh Nhu said that this is a valuable opportunity for the whole team to learn and gain experience in preparing for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand in July and August. Assessing the training conditions in Germany, striker from Tra Vinh said: "The team has only been here for a few days, but in general, everything is quite good, from food to yard. The training ground here is as smooth as at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. I think this is a good condition for the team to practice.”
Today (7.6) is one of the heaviest training days for Vietnamese female players since coming to Frankfurt, with 2 consecutive sessions at 10 am and 14 pm. This is a schedule calculated by the coaching staff so that the players get used to the schedule and intense training.
Coach Mai Duc Chung and his associates arranged resistance exercises within 32 meters for the players to practice their finishing and long-range shooting abilities. Besides, the coaching staff also gave the whole team more practice on speed.
During this training session, the team will have 4 friendly matches against the clubs and national women's teams of Germany and Poland. Huynh Nhu said: “Every friendly match is a valuable opportunity for me to practice and hone my skills in terms of strength and experience when facing strong teams. The upcoming opponents at the 2023 World Cup finals are very classy. During this training session, the team also had friendly matches with the Polish U.23 women's team and especially the German women's team to learn from. The whole team will take advantage of the precious time to prepare the best for the World Cup finals. The training will help improve the quality of the Vietnamese women's team."
Despite intense training, the spirit of Vietnamese girls is very good. The players are actively completing the training plan of the coaching staff to improve technique, individual strength and ability to coordinate between positions.
