At 7:15 PM on October 31st, at Hang Day Stadium (live broadcast onFPT Play and TV 360+10), Hanoi Police FC will play against their home team (based in Hung Yen), PVF-CAND, as part of Round 9 of the V-League 2025-2026. This match is predicted to be a manageable one for Hanoi Police FC to secure 3 points.
There are unlikely to be any surprises.
This is because the current form and squad quality heavily favor Hanoi Police FC. Under the guidance of coach Alexandre Polking, the police team, despite competing in multiple competitions, is consistently in the top ranks of the V-League standings.
Hanoi Police, along with Ninh Binh, are two of the few teams that have yet to lose a match since the start of the season (before round 9). Five wins and two draws have helped Coach Polking's team sit second in the standings with 17 points, but they have played one less match than Ninh Binh (20 points).
In their recent victories, Hanoi Police impressed by securing convincing 3 points against formidable opponents such as Hanoi and the reigning champion Nam Dinh, and drawing with The Cong - Viettel.
In contrast to the strong form of Hanoi Police FC, PVF-CAND has shown inconsistent performance. They defeated Song Lam Nghe An shortly after being promoted, but then went on a run of seven consecutive matches with only draws and losses. In some of those games, PVF-CAND's attack played well, but their defense made mistakes, causing the team to lose the victory.
PVF-CAND head coach Thach Bao Khanh admitted: "Inconsistency is a problem with young players. They can play very well, but they also frequently have periods of poor performance."
That is the weakness that makes young teams like PVF-CAND, playing in the V-League for the first time, easily exploited by their opponents.

The difference in strength
In terms of strength, PVF-CAND can't compare in terms of squad quality with Hanoi Police. The V-League newcomer boasts several promising U22 Vietnam national team players. However, players like Thanh Nhan, Xuan Bac, and Hieu Minh are only making their V-League debut and cannot yet be compared to the likes of Quang Hai, Dinh Trong, and Quang Vinh of Hanoi Police.
As for foreign players, Hanoi Police boasts the top scorer and best player of the previous season, Alan Grafite, along with other formidable strikers like Stephan Mauk and Leo Artur. PVF-CAND only has a mid-level striker in Mpande Joseph and the veteran Hoang Vu Samson, who is 37 years old this year.
PVF-CAND is very likely to become the next victim of Hanoi Police. If they win, Coach Polking's team will extend their unbeaten streak in the V-League standings, putting pressure on Ninh Binh Club.
