The French Football Federation (FFF) has officially confirmed this information, and also stated that he will be absent from the final group stage match against Norway on June 27th to attend to family matters.
During Deschamps' absence, his long-time assistant Guy Stephan will temporarily take charge. This presents a psychological challenge for the French players in the middle of the tournament, even though the European representatives are maintaining impressive form in Group I with two wins out of two matches.
