The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced this afternoon that it is extending the deadline for online enrollment confirmation.
Accordingly, although 5 PM on August 27, 2024 was the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment on the General Admissions Support System (the System), according to feedback from training institutions and candidates, some candidates only discovered the oversight of not confirming their enrollment on the System when enrolling in person at the school.
Therefore, to facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training announces that the system will remain open for candidates to complete the enrollment confirmation procedures until 5 PM on August 31, 2024.
Earlier, on the evening of August 27th, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that this year, 733,600 candidates nationwide registered for university entrance exams. Nearly 673,600 were admitted in the first round.
By the end of the enrollment confirmation period on the Ministry's system - 5 PM on August 27th, 81.87% of candidates were officially admitted because they completed all the necessary procedures, an increase of 1.53% compared to last year.
Over 122,000 students were admitted but did not confirm their enrollment. According to regulations, without a valid reason, their admissions will be canceled. To attend university, they must participate in supplementary admissions or reapply in subsequent years.
In 2024, approximately 20 university admission methods were used by universities. For the method based on high school graduation exam scores, the cut-off scores ranged from 14 to 29.3 points. Leading the way were the Literature and History Education programs at Hanoi University of Education.
