Specifically, the authorities have received a complaint from a citizen in Quang Ninh province denouncing fraud suspects who impersonated police officers and appropriated money from bank accounts through internet banking transactions. Previously, on July 25, Ms. LTN (residing in Gieng Day Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) received a call from a person claiming to be a police officer of Quang Ninh province, threatening and accusing Ms. N. of participating and being an accomplice in a money laundering and drug trafficking group. The suspect asked Ms. LTN to declare her personal history, some work and travel history from March 15 to present and the current amount of money in her bank account.
