On the afternoon of June 29, An Giang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on organization and personnel according to the Resolution of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels.

At the ceremony, An Giang Provincial Police announced the decision to establish provincial and commune-level police; the decision to arrange heads and deputy heads of functional departments and heads and deputy heads of commune-level police. An Giang Provincial Police has 27 functional departments, 102 commune, ward and special zone police stations.
