When operating to close Cai Lon sluice gate, if the water level downstream of the sluice gate increases to +1.2m, it will open in turn until 11/11 gates are fully opened.

Cai Be sluice will close simultaneously and open 60 minutes after opening Cai Lon sluice gate. Because Cai Be sluice gate is completely closed with 2/2 gates, ships will be regulated to move through the lock. Xeo Ro sluice will close and open according to the actual situation when requested by the locality.

To serve the purpose of closing sluice gates and diverting traffic, regulating and guiding water vehicles through Cai Lon, Cai Be, and Xeo Ro sluice gates, the Southern Maritime and Waterways Sub-Department issued a notice on restricting inland waterway traffic on Cai Lon River, Cai Be River, and Tan Bang - Can Gao Canal ( An Giang Province).

Specifically, the restricted location of Cai Lon sluice gate on Cai Lon river is in An Bien and Binh An communes. Cai Be sluice gate on Cai Be river is in Binh An commune. Xeo Ro sluice gate on Tan Bang - Can Gao canal is in An Bien commune.

Restricted time, for Cai Lon sluice, from 8:00 to 20:00 on August 23; from 10:00 to 20:00 on August 24; from 25 and 26, from 11:00 to 20:00. Xeo Ro sluice, depending on the situation, will be closed synchronously with Cai Lon and Cai Be sluices when requested by the locality.

In the restricted area, there is an inland waterway signaling system and a force to control and guide traffic safety on inland waterways. Watercraft passing through the Cai Lon, Cai Be, and Xeo Ro sluices must strictly follow the instructions of the inland waterway signaling system and the force to control and guide traffic safety.
