Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Nhut, Director of the Tien Giang Provincial Police, requested the Go Cong City Police to promptly develop a combat and force-building plan based on the unit's functions and duties, in accordance with the local situation. He emphasized the importance of effectively gathering intelligence, utilizing a comprehensive range of basic professional methods, and promptly and effectively handling any incidents, avoiding any passive response. He stressed the need for resolute action to combat and suppress all types of crime, and a determination to reduce and control emerging and occurring crimes in the area.
In addition, the unit needs to proactively research, advise, and propose solutions to the Provincial Police Directorate regarding the work of ensuring political security and social order in the area. Although it is a newly established unit (but basically transferred from the Go Cong Town Police, with no significant changes in personnel or facilities...), Colonel Nguyen Van Nhut suggested that the Go Cong City Police Department must immediately revise its working regulations and internal rules to comply with the new regulations. The Party Committee and the Command Board of the Go Cong City Police Department must be responsible to the Party Committee and the Provincial Police Directorate for managing, leading, and directing officers and soldiers, and paying attention to building a stronger and more developed city police force to meet the requirements of the work in the new situation.
