This afternoon (March 18), the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with Meta Group announced the program "Vietnam Innovation Challenge 3".
Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong said: "The Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2024 closely follows the context in which the semiconductor industry plays an increasingly important role in global economic competition and development. the power of artificial intelligence, the strategy for developing high-tech industries of the Vietnamese Government. The program not only shows the vision and great support of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in promoting these two potential fields but also contributes to realizing the strategic goals set by the Government."
Mr. Rafael Frankel - Director of public policy for Southeast Asia, Meta Group also said: "With the "Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2024", we want to create an intellectual playground to promote ideas and take advantage of opportunities in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries. This initiative will contribute to strengthening the integration of Vietnam's technology sector in the global digital economy."
This year's program takes place with two pillar themes: Finding and honoring solutions to improve the quality of design, packaging, and testing in the semiconductor industry value chain, with priority given to applications that service in the field of artificial intelligence;
Search and honor solutions that apply artificial intelligence technology to serve the construction and development of businesses and increase work productivity.
The program aims to promote cooperative thinking, attract resources, and build a multilateral cooperation platform to establish a launching pad for Vietnamese businesses to add value and enhance their position in the global value chain. .
Through finding and honoring solutions, the program will contribute to the common goal of spreading awareness about the importance and value of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries, recommending and connecting businesses. Vietnamese businesses with solutions to upgrade and improve business operations, improve performance, develop new products and services, to increase the competitive advantage of Vietnamese businesses in the world market.
In terms of structure, the 2024 Program includes 3 groups:
Large innovative enterprise group: Large innovative enterprises with integrated solutions, proven by the market and ready to deploy on a large scale
Innovative SMEs group: Innovative small and medium-sized enterprises have actual products and services on semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence, have actually deployed them on the market and have have revenue
Innovative startups group (Startups): Innovative projects and startups with ideas; propose; New approach model to support small and medium-sized enterprises participating in the common value chain of the semiconductor & artificial intelligence industry. Research training schools/institutes have been operating in the semiconductor chip and artificial intelligence industries.
The 2024 Vietnam Innovation Challenge program will last until October 10. Individuals and units with selected excellent solutions will have the opportunity to introduce solutions and cooperate with corporations. ; received investment commitments from investment funds and leading domestic and international corporations; Get connected, join the ecosystem of NIC and Meta with support packages, capacity building, trade promotion opportunities, and many other prizes.
