According to the Decision, May 6th of each year is recognized as Vietnam Logistics Day, and the week including May 6th is Vietnam Logistics Week.
The recognition of Vietnam Logistics Day and Vietnam Logistics Week will create an official national timeline to focus on organizing activities to promote and disseminate policies and laws on logistics; raise awareness among society, the business community, and workers about the role of logistics in socio-economic development; and honor the contributions of businesses, organizations, and individuals operating in the logistics sector.
This also serves as an important foundation for promoting connections between logistics businesses and shippers, as well as with manufacturing, trade, and e-commerce industries; strengthening linkages between central and local governments, between the public and private sectors, and between domestic and international partners in the development of the logistics market.
In the long term, the Decision to recognize Vietnam Logistics Day and Vietnam Logistics Week not only signifies the organization of events but also contributes to building the national identity and image of logistics, clearly demonstrating the Government 's strong commitment to developing logistics into an important economic sector with high added value, sustainability, and international competitiveness.
This is a necessary soft policy tool, in line with modern governance trends, contributing to the realization of the goals of Vietnam's logistics service development strategy and gradually transforming Vietnam into a logistics hub with a prominent position in the region and internationally.
