Announcing the decision to establish 9 Retirement Liaison Groups in wards

(CT) - On June 24, the Executive Board of the Can Tho City Retirees Club held a conference to review the activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Mr. Le Nguyen Sinh Nhut, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, attended.

Ms. Tran Lien Kieu, Head of Can Tho City Retirement Club, presented decisions on personnel work for 9 Retirement Liaison Groups.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Executive Board of the Can Tho City Retirement Club directed and operated political tasks and activities to achieve the set plan. Most notably, the organization of regular monthly political and current activities achieved 63.6% of the plan; the development of 45 new members, achieving 90% of the plan, bringing the total number of members of the club to 1,368; the organization of the return to the source with 296 members participating, achieving 65.7% of the plan. The Executive Board, the Retirement Club's contact groups and affiliated units visited 24 sick members... Recreational and entertainment activities all achieved over 70% of the annual plan.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Executive Board of the Can Tho City Retirement Club will continue to promote the quality of regular monthly political and current affairs meetings; at the same time, seek support from organizations and individuals to visit and encourage senior members, those in special difficulties, those who are sick or have family problems. Focus on preparing documents for the Congress of the City Retirement Club for the 2025-2030 term, and launch the 25-year Anniversary of the establishment and development of the Can Tho City Retirement Club.

On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the Can Tho City Retirement Club announced the decision to establish 9 Retirement Liaison Groups in the wards: Ninh Kieu, Cai Khe, An Binh, Tan An, Hung Phu, Cai Rang, Long Tuyen, Thoi An Dong, Binh Thuy; presented gifts to comrades who had stopped working at the Retirement Club and Retirement Liaison Groups.
