Sharing about the play, Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Director of Hai Phong Drama Troupe, said that "Macbeth" is the second classical play that Hai Phong Drama Troupe has staged. Staging classical plays is very challenging. Immediately after receiving approval from the leaders, the crew worked very carefully from script editing, to art design, costume design, prop design and inviting actors to match the spirit of the play. Hai Phong Drama Troupe hopes that "Macbeth" will lay another "brick" to bring Hai Phong audiences back to the City Theater to enjoy classic works of art.

Meanwhile, actress Huyen Sam, who plays Lady Macbeth, admitted that "Macbeth" is a difficult work, difficult for everyone, so it requires the actors to invest in researching and learning about the work very carefully. Huyen Sam shared that when the Hai Phong Drama Troupe agreed to let her take on this role, she had to put in 200% of her effort during the entire rehearsal process to perform the work with her colleagues to achieve the best results.

The play was warmly received by the Hai Phong public.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports , staging classic works is the dream of all major art troupes in the country and the world. Before the 1990s, Hai Phong was the "red elder brother" of drama in the country and had staged a number of classic plays very successfully. In order to continue the achievements of previous generations of artists and actors, as well as to meet the needs of the city's public to enjoy top-notch works of art, the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports has consulted the city to agree on the investment policy to perform classic works.

In 2023, the Hai Phong Drama Troupe and the Hai Phong City Performing Arts Center (under the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports) successfully staged the play "Jomeo and Juliet" by the great writer William Shakespeare and the musical "Les Miserables" by the great writer Victor Hugo. This year, one of the expected works is "Macbeth" by the great writer William Shakespeare.

According to the plan, after this premiere, "Macbeth" will continue to be performed for the people at the City Opera House and other localities. The play will also be performed at industrial parks in the area to serve the workers.
