(GLO) - On the morning of June 2nd, the Trade Union of Dien Hong Ward (Gia Lai Province) held a conference to announce the decision to establish 8 grassroots trade unions in the area.

At the conference, the Dien Hong Ward Trade Union announced the decision to recognize union members and establish 8 grassroots trade unions at various enterprises and units, including: Thai Son Tay Nguyen Trading and Service Company Limited, Hoang Minh Duc Gia Lai Company Limited, BYF International Training and Study Abroad Service Company Limited, Nghia Tin An Insurance Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, Gia Lai Provincial Land Registration Office - Pleiku Branch, Dien Hong Ward Management Board, Dien Phu Trade Center Management Board and Dien Phu Industrial Cluster Development Center.

At the same time, the conference also announced decisions recognizing the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee, and the positions within the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee of 8 grassroots trade unions for the 2026-2030 term.

In response to the 2026 Workers' Month and the emulation campaign to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031, the Dien Hong Ward Trade Union established 8 grassroots trade unions and admitted 318 new members. Among them, the grassroots trade union of Thai Son Tay Nguyen Trading and Service Co., Ltd. has the largest number of members with 77.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Chau Hong Nhi, Chairwoman of the Dien Hong Ward Trade Union, said that in response to the 2026 Workers' Month with the theme "Month of intensified membership development and establishment of grassroots trade unions," the unit has intensified its efforts in propaganda and mobilization to encourage workers to join the trade union. The simultaneous establishment of 8 grassroots trade unions contributes to expanding the trade union network, gathering workers, and improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

The Chairman of the Dien Hong Ward Trade Union requested that newly established grassroots trade unions quickly stabilize their organizations, develop operational regulations, launch labor and production emulation movements, improve productivity and work quality; and at the same time, effectively perform their function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in agencies, units and enterprises.
