Mass mobilization work in the new period

“Our Party has no other interests than the legitimate interests of the people. All the Party's efforts, struggles, and sacrifices are for the people's prosperity and happiness. The Party's mass mobilization work is no exception to this goal. Above all, we must best implement this goal of the Party,” General Secretary To Lam affirmed at a working session with the Central Mass Mobilization Commission on the implementation of mass mobilization tasks since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term.

Strengthening direct dialogue with the people

In early October 2024, the provincial leaders had a dialogue with the people of Ham Tan district on socio -economic, security, defense issues... In a frank, open and constructive atmosphere, the people of Ham Tan district raised 14 recommendations focusing on 3 groups of issues such as environmental protection, planning management, land, mineral resources... The opinions and recommendations were answered directly by leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities right at the dialogue session, basically meeting the people's thoughts and aspirations.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh said that the constructive, enthusiastic and sincere opinions and sharing of the people during the dialogue helped the leaders understand and grasp the local situation better. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to continue to synthesize proposals and recommendations to send to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the functional agencies to urgently study and respond specifically to meet the people's thoughts and aspirations. In the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the heads of the Party Committee and the government of Ham Tan district; heads of departments, branches and sectors to increase direct dialogue activities with the people to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations and handle and resolve the proposals and recommendations of the people, creating high consensus in society. At the same time, regularly pay attention to the people's lives; create conditions for the people to participate in implementing the socio-economic development programs of the district and the province.

According to the Provincial Party Standing Committee, since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress, the mass mobilization work of the political system of Binh Thuan province has had a clear change. Notably, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has led all levels and sectors to implement innovative solutions, improve the quality and efficiency of work to serve the people better and better, creating a clear change in awareness in implementing mass mobilization work. In particular, it is noted that units and localities regularly organize meetings and dialogues with businesses and people to listen to and promptly and effectively resolve problems, concerns and recommendations of citizens in accordance with the law.

Since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term, dialogues to resolve difficulties and obstacles and support businesses in the province have been carried out regularly. Thanks to that, many programs and projects in the province, especially key projects and works such as: Upgrading and expanding National Highway 1A, the section passing through the province; DT.719B road; North-South Expressway (the section passing through the province)... Thereby, it has created consensus and support from the people in the project area in the work of compensation, site clearance, land acquisition, resettlement...

Promoting people's mastery

In order to promote the role of the subject and the right of the people to participate in the local socio-economic development process in all fields, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has promptly led, directed, issued documents, proposed specific solutions and measures. In particular, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has directed the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee to coordinate in grasping the situation and proposing complicated cases to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for consideration and direction to resolve. Specifically: Land recovery, compensation, and resettlement for people to implement the North-South Expressway Project, the section passing through the province; the transfer and sale of land granted to ethnic minorities; the relocation of Chi Cong market (Tuy Phong district); grasping the situation and proposing direction to resolve difficulties and backlogs for households in the implementation of the Le Duan road project, Phan Thiet city; the situation of resolving the situation of unpaid wages and labor cuts of a number of enterprises in the province...

In addition, the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement and the patriotic emulation movement, the campaigns were launched widely, achieving many practical results, contributing to the successful implementation of the political goals and tasks of localities, agencies and units. During the term, the whole province had 1,728 registered models, of which 1,065 models were recognized by the district level and 33 models were recognized by the provincial level; a number of good models appeared, operating effectively and were highly appreciated, having a spreading and effective influence in a number of localities.

In mid-November 2024, at a working session with the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization on the implementation of mass mobilization tasks since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: The highest goal of mass mobilization work in the new period is to be for the people; bring practical results to the people; resolve the legitimate needs and aspirations of the people; put the legitimate and legitimate interests of the people above all; truly respect and promote the people's right to mastery; strengthen the close ties between the Party, the State and the people.
