DNVN - A cybersecurity company in Russia has decided to invite a programming prodigy, only 7 years old, to join its management team.
According to the BBC (UK), this prodigy is named Sergey and currently lives in St. Petersburg. Sergey made a strong impression by posting videos on how to write software from the age of 5. In these videos, he mainly uses Russian and occasionally English, providing detailed, step-by-step programming instructions for his viewers.
Due to Sergey's exceptional talent, the cybersecurity company Pro32 offered him the position of head of their training department.
According to regulations in Russia, Sergey is only allowed to work and receive a salary when he turns 14. However, Pro32 CEO Igor Mandik told the BBC that he had discussed with Sergey's family about finding a way to work until the boy reaches legal working age. Sergey's father was surprised but also excited about this opportunity and is looking forward to the moment Sergey officially joins the company.
Mr. Mandik praised Sergey's abilities not only in programming but also in his teaching skills. Regarding Sergey, he remarked: "To me, this boy is like Mozart. I'm sure that by the time he's 14, he will be an expert in teaching and programming."
Mr. Mandik also asserted that employees from various departments at Pro32, such as accounting or sales, could all learn from the boy. Mr. Mandik anticipates that after seven years, the company will discuss the issue of paying Sergey a salary.
