At the "Outstanding Enterprises for Workers" program in 2024, held at the end of June, Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company was one of 10 outstanding enterprises nationwide recommended by the organizing committee to receive a commendation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Mr. Tran Huu Phu, Chairman of the Trade Union of Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said: "To achieve this title, Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company has continuously strived to improve the working environment, care for the interests and improve the material and spiritual lives of its employees."
According to Mr. Phu, the company consistently offers benefits that exceed state regulations and fosters harmonious and progressive labor relations. Currently, the unit has a total of 347 union members and employees.
"All of these people have signed labor contracts, are covered by insurance, and receive benefits in accordance with current regulations. In particular, the average monthly salary each person receives is approximately 15.6 million VND," Mr. Phu added.
According to Mr. Phu, in addition to building a welfare system to ensure employees feel secure in their work, the company also always encourages employees to think creatively. Through this, the company implements a timely reward system, increasing profits, creating new value, and boosting individual income.
In 2023, the company had 37 innovative projects and useful solutions considered for recognition and implementation. In addition, hundreds of employees received training and retraining each year to meet their assigned tasks.
Workers of Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company working in Dak Lak province shared that what makes them most satisfied is the friendly environment, guaranteed welfare benefits, and salaries and bonuses that are higher than the average in Dak Lak province.
In addition, during every holiday and Tet (Lunar New Year), the workers receive many encouraging gifts from the Trade Union organization. This further motivates them to complete their assigned tasks.
Mr. Huynh Van Dung, General Director of Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company, stated that to achieve the targets set for 2024, the company has implemented several important solutions, such as strictly adhering to production processes to ensure product quality; diversifying products; and expanding the market for self-produced beer.
In particular, the company always prioritizes promptly rewarding and motivating managers, workers, and sales staff who excel and actively contribute to creating new value.
"Over the past five years, the unit has been one of the highest contributors to the budget of Dak Lak province. In addition to the budget, the company also supports the resolution of social welfare issues in the province. The lives and incomes of the workers at the factory are becoming increasingly stable and better," Mr. Dung affirmed.
Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company currently has 4 member units in Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, and Phu Yen provinces. In 2024, the company aims to contribute 1,170 billion VND to the state budget. Of this amount, 762 billion VND will be contributed to Dak Lak province alone, and the company aims to ensure a 3 to 5% increase in employee income compared to 2023.
The "Outstanding Enterprises for Workers" ranking program, chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), has been implemented by the Lao Dong Newspaper since 2014.
The program selects and honors businesses that continuously strive to improve the working environment, care for the interests and improve the material and spiritual lives of their employees, provide welfare benefits exceeding state regulations, consistently achieve business growth, ensure tax and social insurance obligations are met, and build harmonious and progressive labor relations, aiming for sustainable development in the process of integration and development.
Having overcome the difficult period following the COVID-19 pandemic, 67 businesses honored in 2024 have achieved many accomplishments, demonstrating boldness and initiative, overcoming difficulties caused by the pandemic to produce and conduct business effectively; caring for employees both during and after the pandemic, striving and persistently building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, and excelling in caring for the material and spiritual lives of employees, aiming for sustainable development.
