According to Sky Sports Italy , coach Conte and the Napoli management will have an official meeting after this season, but his departure from the club is almost certain. Notably, the Italian coach has agreed to forgo the final year of his contract along with compensation worth approximately 18 million euros before tax to leave amicably.
The source stated that Conte felt his time at Napoli was over. After helping the team win the Serie A title last season and maintaining a relatively consistent performance this season, the coach believed it was the right time to conclude his journey at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Besides professional considerations, Conte's high salary also became a burden for Napoli, especially given the team's need to balance its finances. The former Chelsea manager himself also wanted to spend time resting with his family before considering his next career move.
