Coach Park Hang Seo has returned to coaching at the age of 68. The South Korean coach is leading Kanchanaburi club (Thailand). Since leaving the Vietnamese national team in January 2023, Park Hang Seo had not returned to coaching despite being contacted by many teams.
“I chose Thailand because it was still an unfinished challenge,” the agency quoted coach Park Hang Seo as saying. “Kanchanaburi’s long-term vision and sincerity towards football rekindled my passion. I want to prove that age is never a barrier to new dreams and challenges.”

DJ Management, the agency representing him, added: "After concluding one of the most successful periods in Vietnamese football history, Coach Park Hang Seo promised in 2023 that he would not continue in a coaching role in Vietnam or South Korea. This was his way of making way for the next generation of coaches and showing respect for the journey he had completed with Vietnamese football."
According to this source, coach Park Hang Seo received "many offers from different countries." In fact, during the three years that Park was on his coaching hiatus, he was considered by several teams. The Indian and Singaporean national teams included coach Park Hang Seo on their list of candidates.
Coach Park also emphasized that moving to Thailand does not mean ending his connection with Vietnam. He hopes to continue contributing to the development of Southeast Asian football by creating opportunities for young Vietnamese and regional players through exchange programs, international projects, and football development activities.
"Together with Kanchanaburi Power FC, Coach Park is embarking on a new journey — not simply to win, but also to build a bridge connecting Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Southeast Asian football," added Coach Park Hang Seo's agency.
