After passing the driving license test, the individual's VNeID application will send a notification message and request to update the license information. At that time, people will update as required, provided that the citizen identification number matches the identification number when registering for the test and the VneID account has level 2 authentication.
However, there are cases where VNeID has not displayed driver's license information data after 3 days even though the person who passed the test has completed the declaration procedures.
The Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said there are three reasons for the above situation. First, the transmission line is overloaded. Second, the data synchronization process between systems has to go through many steps, leading to slowness.
The third reason is that the individual declared one of the information incorrectly or did not open the message and make the update request on VNeID.
The Traffic Police Department said it has coordinated with technical units to inspect and fix the above situation. The Department recommends that people do not listen to phone calls for instructions or access strange links because they are very susceptible to fraud. The police only work directly, not via phone or video call, and do not force activation of links.
Currently, traffic participants can use their accounts on the VNeID app or the VneTraffic app to present their driver's license when the authorities check. Information on the electronic identification app, the driver's license website and the VneTraffic app is equivalent to a physical driver's license.
Steps to update driver's license information on the national identification application - VneID app
Step 1: When you receive a message from the VneID app about your driver's license, open the app (if you have not received a message, still open the VneID app, because you may have set it to reject message notifications).
Step 2: Go to the State Agency Notification section to read the message. If it is related to the driver's license, confirm the information (driver's license number, driver's license class) and follow the instructions in the message. Note that the individual's driver's license number will be provided by the Testing Center after passing the test, or you can access the Driver's License Information Page (https://gplx.csgt.bocongan.gov.vn) to look it up.
Step 3: Go to Paper Wallet and select Paper Integration.
Step 4: In the Information Integration section, select create a new request; select the information type and select the driver's license; enter personal information (driver's license number and class) in the information fields in the section and then submit the request.
Step 5: The application will notify that the request was sent successfully and will have specific information about the driver's license being received (class, driver's license number, request creation date).
