This is the 4th time the VnExpress Marathon Sparkling Quy Nhon (VMSQ) has been held in Quy Nhon City. This time, the organizers continue to take runners to explore a diverse and colorful coastal urban area. Building on the optimal route of the 2022 season, this year, athletes will experience a sparkling coastline in the early morning sun, enchanting natural landscapes, and a dynamic Quy Nhon that is changing every day. This year, all distances will have separate start and finish gates, both located on An Duong Vuong Street, Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.
The 5km route follows the most beautiful coastal road in Quy Nhon, Xuan Dieu Street, and turns around at the end. This is a seaside experience, allowing runners to feel the sunrise and the gentle sound of the waves. Runners in the 10km race will fully enjoy the 5km coastal route, then turn onto Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, exploring a part of the city's vibrant life before finishing in front of Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.

At the 21km distance, the route changes, taking athletes through some of Quy Nhon's main avenues before beginning the challenge of conquering the Thi Nai Bridge - the second longest sea bridge in Southeast Asia. Runners can see the fishing villages along the Thi Nai lagoon or explore a part of the sun-drenched sand dunes in the sunrise. Meanwhile, the 42km distance will offer athletes a variety of experiences, from the exhilaration of crossing the Thi Nai Bridge, the challenge of running through the sand dunes, immersing themselves in the romantic atmosphere of the Thi Nai lagoon and Con Chim islet, or passing through a part of the city's coastal inner area.
According to Huynh Cao Nhat, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, “To prepare for welcoming thousands of athletes and members of the VMSQ 2023 Organizing Committee, the Department of Tourism is coordinating with the organizing unit to promote communication and introduce the image of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh on social media and at Phu Cat Airport. The Department has also sent documents to accommodation establishments and restaurants, requesting them to upgrade facilities and prepare staff to serve. Previously, the Department sent a list of hotels with available rooms to the Organizing Committee to introduce to the athletes. Tourist destinations in the province also have policies to offer discounts to athletes participating in the competition with different levels of incentives.”
Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoang Vu, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Tourism Association, said: “In implementing the tourism stimulus program, hotels have registered to offer discounts of 20-30% for athletes participating in the competition. The Tourism Association is working with the Organizing Committee to set up booths introducing destinations and services for athletes right in the Nguyen Tat Thanh Square area, providing information so that visitors can choose suitable tours, explore and experience the unique tourism products of Binh Dinh.”
