Opening of the Trade Promotion Fair for Cooperatives in the Central Highlands - Central Region in 2025

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the evening of June 23, the opening ceremony of the Trade Promotion Fair for Cooperatives in the Central Highlands region in 2025 took place. Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Dinh Hong Thai - Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Dinh Hong Thai said that today's Fair, with its national scale, is an opportunity for cooperatives to promote and introduce products, exploit, search and expand product consumption markets, connect and cooperate with domestic and foreign partners, and is also an event that demonstrates the attention of the Party, the State, all levels and sectors of the central and local governments, the support of economic sectors and people of all walks of life for the development of cooperative economy and cooperatives; is a source of encouragement, motivation and encouragement for tens of thousands of cooperatives, cooperative groups and millions of members, along with the staff and employees of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance system; is an important event that contributes to continuing to promote the development of cooperative economy and cooperatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang said that up to now, the province has 210 cooperatives in operation, including: 149 agricultural service cooperatives, 11 small-scale industry - service cooperatives, 27 credit cooperatives and 14 transport cooperatives, with a total of 332,621 members participating.

To achieve the above results, Binh Dinh province has focused on synchronously implementing many solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the collective economic sector. Cooperatives in the province have been basically reorganized and consolidated, while continuing to innovate in terms of organization, content and methods of operation in accordance with the spirit of the Law on Cooperatives. The Cooperative Management Board has been consolidated towards streamlining and efficiency; the production management and business management capacity of the cooperative staff has been continuously improved. Thanks to that, the operations of most cooperatives have gradually stabilized and had many positive and remarkable changes. Many cooperatives have proactively expanded new services associated with product value chains, in addition to traditional services. The content and form of services are increasingly diverse, practical and effective, meeting the increasing needs of members and the market.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang said that the Trade Promotion Fair held in Binh Dinh province this time is of great significance - not only an opportunity for cooperatives inside and outside the province to introduce products and connect markets, but also an opportunity for the locality to affirm its central connecting role in the collective economic network.

The fair takes place for 07 days (from June 23 to June 29, 2025), with main activities such as: Connecting trade between cooperatives, businesses, and partners; Displaying and introducing products and goods; Exchange, buying and selling products and goods; Cultural and artistic activities; Conference "Business skills, trade promotion, digital transformation and application on the Post Office Agricultural Products E-commerce Platform".

The fair is part of the National Trade Promotion Program 2025 approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The fair brings together nearly 250 booths from the Cooperative Union of 20 provinces and cities; 50 enterprises and trade promotion organizations. The items displayed at the fair are vegetables, fruits; processed agricultural products; nutritional products; organic foods; products that are specialties of regions, traditional craft villages; handicrafts, garments; machinery, equipment, high-tech agricultural materials;... all ensuring VietGap GlobalGap standards, food safety, OCOP products,...
