Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2023

With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, QVIC has entered its third consecutive year of organization and achieved very positive results. QVIC 2023 continues to aim to incubate and develop a technology team to accelerate the innovation process in Vietnam.

Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge is a pioneering initiative in supporting the national innovation startup ecosystem towards open innovation.

The program received nearly 200 applications with outstanding technology and innovative solutions in diverse fields such as Smartcity, Robotics, IoT, 5G, AgriTech... QVIC continues its journey of inspiring and finding outstanding creative startups, while at the same time, spreading Qualcomm's meaningful companion activities in Vietnam.

During the incubation period, the TOP 10 QVIC 2023 were financially supported by Qualcomm with a sponsorship package of 10,000 USD for product research and development costs for each company and an additional 5,000 USD for patent registration costs in Vietnam or the US. In addition, the TOP 10 also participated in intensive training programs on engineering, R&D and business development from Qualcomm Technologies experts and partners. In addition, QVIC also conducted a Midterm Review to initially assess the Top 10's progress during the incubation process. At the same time, the program also organized visits and practical experience learning for the Top 10 at Qualcomm and leading technology enterprises in Vietnam.

The Top 10 QVIC 2023 have successfully met many criteria on technical capabilities, with innovative patented products suitable for the national digital transformation process in the period of the 4th industrial revolution in Vietnam. In particular, 10 startups from key technology fields such as Robotics, Energy (Clean Energy), Smart Agriculture (AgriTech), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Sustainable Environment (Climate Tech), Internet of Things (IoT) ... will compete at QVIC 2023 - Finale Event to select 3 winning companies, receiving a prize of up to 225,000 USD and post-program support from Qualcomm Technologies Corporation.

Through the competition and activities of consulting, coaching, training, and supporting market development connections, Vietnamese technology startups have been equipped with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to integrate globally.
