Diverse summer sports playgrounds

(QBĐT) - Summer comes with the long vacations that students look forward to after a school year. However, this is also the time when many parents are struggling to find useful and healthy playgrounds for their children. How to help children relax, exercise, improve life skills, and avoid being overly attracted to modern technology devices is a "problem" that is not easy to solve.

In that context, sports and life skills classes at the Provincial Children's House are becoming a choice that many parents trust to send their children to every summer. With a rich program system, content designed to suit each age group, not only helping children have fun, but also creating an ideal environment for children to develop physically, practice courage, and form positive living habits.
If in previous years, subjects such as martial arts, mini soccer, etc. were prioritized by parents, this summer, many new sports have been introduced into the curriculum, expanding the experience opportunities for students. In particular, basketball is gradually asserting its appeal thanks to its comprehensive movement, suitable for the physical condition of children aged 9-15.

According to teacher Le Ngoc Duc, practicing basketball not only helps children develop height, endurance, and flexibility, but also contributes to practicing many important soft skills such as group coordination, team spirit, leadership ability, and quick reflexes. These are necessary foundational factors to help children form a confident, courageous, and proactive personality in the face of future challenges.
Along with basketball, swimming continues to be a sport that attracts a large number of students right from the beginning of summer. In swimming classes, in addition to instructing basic technical movements, coaches also equip students with skills to prevent accidents in the water and handle them safely when an incident occurs. These are considered extremely important survival lessons, especially in the context that every summer, tragic drowning incidents in children still occur in many localities.
Phan Nguyen Anh Thu, Dong Phu Ward (Dong Hoi City) after a period of participating in swimming class excitedly shared: "I am very happy to learn swimming with my friends. Now I know how to swim, more confident when going into the water and can handle any danger."
Not only stopping at vigorous sports, this summer, table tennis also recorded a stable number of students, showing the unique appeal of the sport that requires quickness, precision, good reflexes and flexible tactical thinking. With nearly 50 students registered to participate this summer, table tennis helps them develop self-control, improve concentration and practice confidence when facing challenges.

Le Nguyen Quang Tuan, Dong Phu Ward (Dong Hoi City) said: “Every summer, my parents sign me up for a table tennis class. Through practice, I feel more agile, more confident and learn many useful skills. After basic training, I will be able to join clubs and compete in tournaments, I feel very excited”.
Teacher Nguyen Thanh Trung, in charge of the table tennis class, said: "In addition to physical training, table tennis classes also organize many tournaments and establish clubs to create an environment for exchange and competition, encouraging a healthy competitive spirit for students."
Notably, in addition to diversifying sports, the Provincial Children's House has also expanded many arts and life skills contents, meeting the diverse needs of students during the summer. To date, the summer class system has grown to 32 subjects with a total of 85 classes, attracting nearly 1,500 students to participate right from the beginning of the summer.
In addition to the positive impact on physical and skill, summer playgrounds also help students move away from the passive entertainment environment in front of electronic screens, towards a more active and positive life. Useful summer playgrounds not only help children have a happy and healthy summer but also play an important role in building a dynamic, confident young generation, ready to enter the new school year.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Children's House Le Hung Ninh said: "We continue to mobilize social resources to invest in facilities and add more modern teaching equipment. In addition to traditional subjects such as swimming, soccer, badminton, aerobics, etc., the summer program also includes vocal music, musical instruments, and junior chefs, etc. to help students have more diverse options according to their interests and talents.
In addition, the team of teachers and coaches has also been reviewed and improved, most of whom are people with solid expertise, enthusiasm, rich teaching experience and pedagogical skills, ensuring stable training quality, creating peace of mind for parents when sending their children to participate in summer activities at the Provincial Children's House."
In fact, summer classes at the Provincial Children's House are becoming an ideal environment where students not only develop physically but also develop life skills, practice team spirit, improve independence and adaptability to life.
Through each lesson and each practice hour, children gradually form the habit of regular exercise, practice discipline, strive for awareness, and learn to share and cooperate with friends.
