Dong A University is hosting its first international conference on artificial intelligence and responsible data science.

DNVN - On October 22nd, the international conference series on Smart Living EAI 2024: The Age of Artificial Intelligence officially took place at Dong A University.

The EAI 2024 conference series took place over two days, October 22-23, co-hosted by the International Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD) of Dong A University and the European Union for Innovation (EAI). Simultaneously, the opening sessions of the first International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RADS) and the 11th International Conference on Mobility, the Internet of Things, and Smart Cities (MobilityIoT) were held.

Specifically, the first international conference on RAIDS was held within the framework of a collaborative initiative between the IAD Institute, Dong A University, and Gemtex-Ensait, University of Lille (France), through the establishment of the International Chair in DS&XAI – “International Cooperation Chair on Data Science and Explainable Artificial Intelligence” located at Dong A University.

This is also the 10th international conference on artificial intelligence and data science, jointly organized by Dong A University in collaboration with research institutes, universities, organizations, scientists, and experts from Vietnam and abroad.

The RAIDS conference was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation from locations in Vietnam and internationally . It featured 29 presentations by experts from seven countries: France, the UK, Germany, the US, Canada, China, and Vietnam. The conference also attracted considerable interest from scholars at research institutes, university lecturers, and students specializing in artificial intelligence and data science (AI&DS).

Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet – Vice Rector of Dong A University, said that the workshop is part of an ongoing effort to connect the academic community with businesses and society, ensuring that AI is applied responsibly and effectively. Discussions focused on the applications of AI in addressing global challenges and improving the quality of life around the world.

Also within the framework of the international conference series “Smart Living EAI 2024: The Age of Artificial Intelligence”, the 11th International Conference on Mobility, the Internet of Things and Smart Cities (MobilityIoT) with 7 sessions of presentations by international experts was held concurrently over two days, October 22-23, at Dong A University.

As part of the program, the international expert delegation also visited the artificial intelligence model system, rehabilitation practice rooms, smart medical research rooms, automation laboratories, etc., which are being invested in and operated at Dong A University.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, the international scientific conference on artificial intelligence and data science is an annual forum held at Dong A University, expected to become a space for connecting and exchanging interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific knowledge, sharing diverse aspects that shape new directions and promote the sustainable development of AI and IoT solutions. It also aims to form and promote collaborative research and development projects between universities and research institutes in various countries in the field of artificial intelligence and data science.
